I just got The Darklight's War back from the editor! If you're not familiar with the process, now I go through the manuscript again reviewing all of his comments and changes. I'm not entirely sure how much work is ahead of me, but I'm ready to dive in!
I've also more or less completed the glossary and pronunciation guide for the series. My goal is to add it into The Chronicles of Aurion this week and try to finalize the formatting, so I can move toward re-releasing it.
It's exciting, but a ton of work remains. Please pray for me, haha!
Editing Update & Swag Pictures!

Howdy everyone!
I talked to my editor today. He is working on The Darklight's War now, which is good news, but unfortunately he's about a month or so behind schedule. I just found out, so I wanted to pass it along.
In the meantime, I'm continue to tweak things on my end. We've got more efforts coming up on the series; formatting, glossary, and the acknowledgments sections. Hope to get a nice chunk—if not all—of that done this month.
We've also received our first shipment of swag! The pics don't do them justice, but I wanted to get you something quickly so you can see them.
I think you're going to love them when you get them. They look great in person!
For the folks that are waiting to collaborate with me on the special rewards like create-a-character, I haven't forgotten about you! Those may have to come after the books and physical rewards, but you are on my radar!

Interior Formatting and Swag Orders!

Hello Everyone!
I'm exciting to drop in for a quick update today. While The Darklight's War is off with the editor I've been making some progress in a few other areas!
Since we last talked, I've purchased the Atticus formatting software. The learning curve hasn't been too bad so far, and I've already learned how to create a couple book themes. The first was for the Beating Back the Darkness series of course, and another is for a future project. This process was a lot of fun and allowed me to play with the software a bunch. Overall, I'm pretty please with what I've come up with.
The first book to get this treatment will be The Chronicles of Aurion, but the nice thing about the theme is that you can apply it to future books as well. So, some of this legwork can be leveraged for the rest of the books in the series.
Today was also a busy day creating and shopping, as I placed orders for a bunch of the different swag rewards! BBtD Logo coasters, bookplates, and four (4) different sets of bookmarks were all ordered today. I can't wait until they all come in and I can share pictures! Until then, some of the mockups will have to do.
Now that this is taken care of, I'm taking the family on a hike!

The beta for The Darklight's War ended this week. I'm in the process of collecting all the last minute feedback from my reader team.
Over the next two weeks, I'll be reviewing all of their comments/suggestions to see which changes should be made.
Once I've completed that process, I'll ship the manuscript off to my editor, Michael Evan. The book is very large, so he's told me that it should take at least two months for his edit.
During that time my plan is to:
- Update the Theros short story with beta feedback and edits
- Finish the special glossary for the series
- Start ordering swag items (bookmarks, coasters, etc.

Digital Rewards Have Been Sent!

The last couple weeks have been absolutely exhausting. My daughter's final volleyball tournament for her travel team was sandwiched between two brutal weeks at the new job. That being said, I was able to finalize and send out the digital rewards this morning.
